The Plot of this Project is Located in Medellin, Extremadura. On a hill next to the village is located a roman Theater that has been discovered recently. Now it's the main archaeological spot in Spain.
Aim of the project is to build two Pavillons, one for the visitors and one as an working place for the archaeologists. Maybe there can be a third building used as an living house for the archaeologists.
here some images of the plot:
The plot is located on a hill and bordered with two churches (church of Santiago and church of San Martin) and the paths wich the visitors use to get to the roman theater. In the middle of the plot is also a kind of archaeological site with some roman walls and ruins.
The most important things of the spot are the roman walls/ ruins, the impressing view to Medellin and the countryside of Extremadura, the shape of the hill and the surrounding historical context.
Also relevant for the project is the hot and dry climate of the Extremadura. The sun is burning all over the year.
These factors should be noticed while developing the concept.
