Development of the idea

The first idea was to catch the view to Medellin and the countryside of the Extremadura.

Furthermore, the construction should be light and bright. We decided to work with a combination of wood and glass. Maybe supported with steel.

In the next step we thought about how to handle with the different functions of the buildings and what is the best way to integrate them in the area and get the best view to the landscape out of the buildings. We decided to build three or four separated buildings, one for each function. So it's possible to get a different view from each of the Pavillons. By placing the buildings suitable to the contour lines, they are embedded in the shape of the hill.

To protect the archaeological ground of the plot, the buildings and the platform, which connects them are build on stilts. The funnel-shaped form should accentuate the view out of the buildings.
